Recently, the book Incredible adventures of Ivan Syla, the strongest man in the world was published. This publication, initiated by the Publishing House Staryi Lev, Vasyl' Virastyuk and ОККО filling stations network, originates the series of books for teenagers Ukrainians – the nation of strong people!, where literary writings about our famous countrymen – athletes, knights and heroes, who glorified Ukraine with mightiness of their bodies and spirits, will be published. The author of the book about the legendary Transcarpathian hero Ivan Syla (Ivan Firtsak-«Kroton») is Oleksandr Havrosh. This is a funny, absorbing story, full of adventures, about a boy from a Transcarpathian village Bilky, who, due to his extraordinary physical vigor, along with strong spirit and kindness, has managed to become famous as the strongest man in the world by defeating the most popular heroes, and, together with the traveling circus, he had visited a lot of countries. The story is based upon the real biography of Ukrainian athlete Ivan Firtsak, whose name returns from non-existence. Vasyl' Virastyuk is one of the modern inspirators of that story for young readers, that is why you can find his foreword in the book.
