In February, OKKO Group completed the restoration of all 4 damaged buildings that were taken the care after the missile attack on Lviv last September. The first to be completed was the apartment building at 42, Mikhnovskikh Street, which suffered the greatest damage. Now the renovation of three other buildings has been completed at the following addresses: 36, Mikhnovskikh Street and 20 and 35a Olena Stepanovna Street.
While a part of the load-bearing wall and one of the apartments on the top floor were badly destroyed in the building at 42, Mikhnovskikh Street, the load-bearing structures in the other three buildings were in proper condition, but the roofs and facades were heavily damaged. Also, the blast wave destroyed the gallery balcony that surrounds the building at 36, Mikhnovskikh Street, which caused that some residents lost access to their apartments. Therefore, the first step was to restore it, which was done in December 2024.
Additionally, the restoration process involved replacing damaged roofs, partially replacing and reinforcing attic supports that hold the roof, strengthening internal staircases, restoring smoke ventilation ducts, repairing facades damaged by shrapnel, and carrying out interior finishing work. All the restoration works was carried out by “PROGRESTEXBUD”, a part of OKKO Group with 17 years of experience in the market and specializing in the construction of residential and industrial facilities.
As previously reported, in December 2024, OKKO Group signed a memorandum with the Lviv City Council on participation in “Patronize a house” program, which involves business in the restoration of buildings damaged by the missile attack on September 4, 2024. OKKO was one of the first to join this initiative.
