“INCLUSIVE" CLASS OF TAXI CARS BY OKKO AND UKLON: 8.5 THOUSAND KM DURING 5 MONTHS IN LVIV

During 5 months of operation in Lviv, 159 passengers used the "Inclusive" class of taxi cars, which was launched by the online service UKLON with the support of OKKO network, making more than 800 trips. The total mileage amounted to 8,500 km.

Currently, 3 adapted cars are running in the city and suburbs (within a radius of 20 km) as part of the project, for which OKKO allocated funds and provided them with fuel for a year.

"This initiative created convenient conditions and enabled people who use wheelchairs to get to the hospital, railway station, and shopping centers without any obstacles. Meanwhile, the statistics shows that these are the most popular routes for service users. Creating conditions for people to lead an active social life and see the results of this work motivates us to further development of the barrier-free space in Ukraine," COMMENTED VASYL DMYTRIV, OKKO VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING.

"We are actively working on the development of the Inclusive car class in Lviv. The first six months have shown us that this service is in demand and we are really glad that together with our partner OKKO we can change and improve the everyday life of Lviv residents. We are planning to purchase new cars and develop the Inclusive service even more actively in the western part of Ukraine," COMMENTED SERGIY GRISHKOV, CEO OF UKLON.

We remind that the cars of the Inclusive class are equipped with special equipment; mechanical lift, ramp, special seat belts and fasteners for fixing a wheelchair. All trips in this class of vehicles are carried out by professional drivers who have been trained in communication and interaction with people with musculoskeletal disorders.

In addition to the transportation service, if a passenger with a disability is traveling alone, the driver will help carry luggage or personal belongings.

The initiative of OKKO and Uklon was also supported by the Lviv City Hall, which introduced a mechanism to compensate the costs of travel for users of the service to make travel more affordable.
