The new all-season mountain resort of the international format GORO Mountain Resort is going to be located at the foot of the Vysokyi Verkh mountain range at an altitude of 650 m above sea level, near the villages of Volosianka and Verkhnia Rozhanka, which are part of the Slavsko community, Lviv region.
The total area of GORO Mountain Resort will be almost 1200 hectares, of which 360 hectares are planned for mountain and ski infrastructure, and more than 800 hectares for the development of hotel, commercial and recreational facilities. Over the next 15 years, the company plans to build 41 75-km-long ski slopes with 342 hectares of snow cover, 17.5 km of ski lifts, including two modern gondola lifts and 11 chairlifts, as well as Welcome and Mountain centers. The first in Ukraine and the longest gondola cable car (2.8 km) and the longest ski run (3.8 km) will appear here. Also, there will be built 25 hotels with 5,500 rooms.
The first stage of GORO with a total area of 127 hectares will start near the village of Volosianka, located 5 km from the village of Slavsko. The construction of the Welcome Center and the lower station of the gondola cable car has already begun. In addition, there will be 10 13-km-long ski slopes with 50 hectares of snow and two modern chair lifts. The 20-hectare first phase of the resort will also include five hotel complexes with 1,100+ rooms, along with recreational infrastructure with SPA, swimming pools, restaurants, children's and business areas. The first phase is scheduled to be completed in 2028-2029.
The total investment in GORO Mountain Resort is estimated about $1.5 billion. Of this amount, OKKO Group plans to invest $500 million from its own and credit funds, and another $1 billion will be raised from other investors.
